THE FORUMS

The WineGB South East Forums

Membership includes free access to our informally run forums. These have been set up to allow members to exchange information and ideas in an informal environment, learn from their peers and access informal presentations from expert speakers on topical issues. The forums meet regularly and have proved to be hugely successful.

Each of the groups is chaired by a WineGB South East member, with Luke Spalding (Everflyht Vineyard) leading the Vineyard Managers’ Forum (VMF), Collete O’Leary (Henners Vineyard) chairing the Winemaking Forum and Kristina Studzinski (Off the Line Vineyard) leading the Business Forum group.

Forums: Vineyard Managers' Forum

Regular member networking and knowledge sharing for Vineyard Managers. Following a vineyard tour by the host vineyard manager (rotated by county for each session), ideas are exchanged and discussed on a wide range of topics including, grapevine trunk disease, pruning methods, cane selection, frost protection and vineyard machinery.

If you would like further information about this forum, please email Luke Spalding at luke@everflyht.com

Forums: Winemakers' Forum

Regular member networking and knowledge sharing for Vineyard Managers. These sessions start with a tour of a producer’s winemaking facilities, followed by informative discussions around practical issues, such as base wines, comparative cold stabilisation techniques, pre bottling SO2 regimes and pre bottling activity.

Forums: Business Forum

This ad-hoc forum covers business matters that are relevant to running a vineyard/winery and selling your wine.

Presenters are often invited to these sessions and cover interesting and relevant topics, such as wholesaling, tax and accounting, heath and safety, which generate useful and interactive debate.
